TERMS & CONDITIONS

HSTF reserves the right to cancel the heliski trip at any time. All rates are quoted in EURO and are subject to change without notice. The reservation and cancellation policies used by HSTF are standard in this industry. The nature of our business is such that our commitments must be made well in advance of your skiing with us.

RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT

Deposits:

A deposit of 30% of the trip cost is required at a per person basis at the time of booking, and or a deposit of 30% of the trip cost for all Privates groups. The initial deposit confirms your acceptance of HHSG’s terms and conditions. This deposit constitutes a tentative reservation, which becomes confirmed only upon receipt of full payment, which is due 10 weeks prior to departure. Final Payments:

Full payment is due 10 weeks prior to the first day of your scheduled heliski trip. Payments can be made via Bank Wire transfers, cashier checks and Traveler Checks, personal checks are not accepted. All payments are to be made in Euro. Please identify all payments clearly with your name, address, date of trip and if applicable groups name. A reservation may be cancelled if we have not received full payment by the due date. Last minute clients making a reservation in 10 weeks or less prior to the scheduled trip must pay in full upon making reservation. If needed extra time can be arranged for full payment.
Cancellations:

If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your reservation, we require notice in writing. If we receive cancellation notice more than six months prior to the skiing or trekking date, all the money on deposit will be refunded less 800.00 Euro per person. If we receive cancellation notice less than six months prior to the heliski trip, the entire deposit is non-refundable. When we receive cancellation notice less than 10 weeks prior to the skiing date all money on account is non-refundable. Monies on deposit will not be carried forward to future seasons. Obviously this cancellation policy does not apply for last minute clients. Last minute clients are required to pay in full at the time of making the reservation.
Refunds:

Our heliski trips begin and end on specific days. No refund is given, in whole or in part, for un-used days or transportation, resulting from late arrival, early departure or for any other reason. Likewise, there are no refunds given for 'Down Days' if bad weather or helicopter breakdown prevents us from skiing on any given day. HSTF guarantees 4 runs a day. HSTF will refund the un-skied runs at the rate of 45.00 Euro per missed run. No missed run refunds will be given if you decide not to ski one day or come back earlier. If you should decide to stop skiing early one day or if you should decide not to ski at all one day, you forfeit that day, thus no refund is available. You may transfer to another trip without penalty up to 90 days before departure. If you transfer from one trip to another within 89 days of departure, however, you are subject to the usual Cancellation Fees. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself. The amount of flying time hours given for the trip is more then enough to make the guaranteed 4 runs per day in the designated heliski areas. If the group wishes to go into other areas and exceeds the flying time, the guarantee for runs will be non valid. Any discounts given will be deducted from the run guarantee.

IMPORTANT INSURANCES

Cancellation Insurance:

Heliski Tierra del Fuego (HSTF) highly recommends that you buy cancellation insurance for your Heliski trip and your flight ticket! This insurance must cover your trip if you become ill, or have other valid reasons for not being able to come on the trip. The insurance should also cover your trip in case HSTF has to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, such as no snow, severe avalanche conditions, bad weather, helicopter problems, etc. Should HSTF have to cancel the trip, we will retain your deposit, so at the very least, you should insure your deposit and your flight ticket, but we suggest you get 100% coverage in case the cancellation is on your behalf, as HSTF does not allow refunds 10 weeks prior to departure. You can either get this insurance from your travel agent, personal insurance broker, or through the following Travel Insurance group: http://www.alltripprotection.com (US and Canadian citizens) and http://www.lifelineplus.net (all other citizens).
Health Insurance
HSTF does not carry health, life or injury insurance for our skiers. It is required that you carry your own personal health & injury insurance and you provide proof of this before starting the trip. HSTF requires you carry insurance for life and health care risks. Be sure that it covers you for your heliski trip in Chile.
Emergency Evacuation Insurance:
In the case of injury to skiers, helicopter ambulance expenses will be charged to the injured party. We recommend that everyone carry evacuation insurance.
Personal Property Insurance:
We also recommend that your personal belongings be also insured against loss. Your homeowner's insurance may not be enough. Make sure this insurance covers you while you are in Chile. ;
